Friday Wrap Up: 19 December 2025

The Friday Wrap Up is taking a holiday break 🎄

After 50 weeks of doom-scrolling through CVEs, data breaches, and supply chain incidents, the FWU is officially logging off until 2026.

Yes, 2026. The FWU will be back with more threat intelligence, more zero-days, and probably another ransomware group with a questionable naming convention.

What to expect during the FWU break:

• Threat actors will continue working (they don’t believe in work-life balance)

• Your CEO will still click on phishing emails

• Someone will definitely misconfigure an S3 bucket

• We will be blissfully unaware of all of it ☕

Gentle reminders while the FWU is gone:

• “admin/admin” is not a secure credential combo, no matter what your IoT device says

• Your family’s tech support questions can wait until January (probably)

• If an email says “URGENT: Your Netflix account has been suspended,” it’s lying

Stay safe out there. Patch your systems. Enable MFA. Don’t let your guard down just because we did.

See you in 2026 🔐

P.S. - If something catastrophic happens, I’ll probably still post about it. I have a problem.

Stay informed and secure in the tech and cybersecurity world. Have a great weekend, and remember to patch and protect your systems!
