Lesson 3: The Building Blocks of an Agent
1d
Strip an AI agent down to its studs and you get four parts. A model, tools, memory, and instructions. The model is the reasoning engine. Tools are the hands, the ability to check the weather, query a database, send a message. Memory is the notes, information stored outside the model so a long task doesn’t fall apart the moment something scrolls out of view. Instructions set the boundaries for what it’s supposed to do in the first place. Miss any one of these and the whole thing breaks in a specific, predictable way. Lesson 3, of my 7 lesson series, breaks down each piece and why it exists. #AgenticAI #AIArchitecture #AIAgents #TechExplained
